Understanding the True Cost to Study in the UK
Studying in the UK involves several distinct cost categories. Some are paid before you leave Nepal. Some are UK government fees paid as part of the visa. Some are paid to your university. And some are the ongoing costs of living in Britain. Understanding which costs fall into which category — and when each is due — is as important as knowing the total.
Every figure in this guide is sourced from an official UK government website or verified university page. Where figures are approximate — NPR conversions, accommodation ranges — we say so. We do not present estimates as facts.
A UK degree is a 3-year investment — shorter than the USA, Canada, or Australia — with stronger post-study work rights than most alternatives

Scholarships reduce these amounts significantly

These are the minimum living costs UKVI requires you to demonstrate you can cover. They apply from 2 January 2026 and are set by UK Visas and Immigration — not by Edupark UK.
