UK University Intakes & Deadlines

The practical deadline for Nepali students targeting September 2026 entry is 15 July 2026. This is not a university deadline — it is the last date by which your application should be submitted to leave enough time for every subsequent step in the process before term begins.

Consider the minimum lead times: university application to offer (1–4 weeks), offer to CAS including all pre-CAS conditions (3–6 weeks), 28-day bank evidence period (28 days), visa application to decision (approximately 3 weeks), plus biometrics appointment availability at the TLScontact centre in Kathmandu — which gets extremely busy in July and August, adding further delays. From a 15 July application, meeting a September start is tight but achievable. An August application makes it very difficult.

The main UCAS deadline for September 2026 entry was 29 January 2026. This has passed, but universities continue to process applications for courses with remaining spaces. UCAS Clearing, which opens in August 2026, is a legitimate route — many excellent programmes have spaces available in Clearing, particularly in high-demand subjects like computing, engineering, and healthcare.

Some universities also accept direct applications from international students for undergraduate programmes outside the UCAS system. Edupark UK will advise whether the courses you are interested in still have spaces available.

If September 2026 is no longer achievable, the January 2027 intake is the next major entry point. Applications are already open. The recommended application window is June to October 2026. The January intake is less competitive than September, some programmes that filled for September retain January spaces, and the additional months give you time to strengthen your application or build financial evidence.

The practical visa deadline for January 2027 entry follows the same logic: submit your application by mid-October 2026 to allow CAS issuance, financial evidence, TB test, and visa processing before a January start.
